How this site works and how we make money
Short version: FronteiraPalace.com earns a commission when you book a tour or ticket through our GetYourGuide links. This doesn't change the price you pay. Our editorial recommendations are not influenced by commission rates.
Some links on this site — specifically the "Check Availability" and "Book" buttons that lead to GetYourGuide — are affiliate links. If you click one of these links and make a booking, we receive a small commission from GetYourGuide at no extra cost to you.
The price you pay for any ticket or tour is identical whether you arrive at GetYourGuide via our site or by typing their address directly. We receive a share of the revenue that GetYourGuide would otherwise keep.
Links to GetYourGuide (getyourguide.com) that include our partner ID (partner_id=7GG5I5H) are affiliate links. These are typically the "Check Availability" and "Book" buttons throughout the site. They are labelled rel="sponsored" in the HTML per Google's guidelines.
Links to external sites that are not GetYourGuide (such as the official Fronteira-Alorna Foundation website, Wikipedia, or Google Maps) are not affiliate links and generate no revenue for us.
No. Our editorial content — which tours we recommend, what we say about ticket options, which time of day we suggest visiting — is written based on what we believe is most useful for visitors. We would give the same recommendations regardless of whether affiliate links existed.
For example, we tell most visitors to book the foundation's own €17 guided tour, which earns us nothing, and we only suggest private tours for people who want transport and a guide for the whole day.
We also explain the cheaper gardens-only ticket. Neither of these recommendations generates any commission.
FronteiraPalace.com is an independent website. We are not affiliated with the Fronteira Palace, its owners, GetYourGuide, or any tour operator. We are an independent publisher providing practical visitor information for people planning a visit to the Fronteira Palace in Lisbon.
